My beauty therapist says I might benefit from a microdermabrasion. I am 24 and I have OK skin but there are very slight (and I mean slight) acne scars from when I was in my early teens).
Would microdermabrasion be beneficial to someone of my age?

sure it would help with fine wrinkles – but why would anyone want their skin sandpapered off?
I don't go for dermabrasion but exfoliation. I use papaya kojic and licorice base soap and cream which are available online. These work wonders. Maybe it will work on you too.
I’m 24, have almost perfect skin but was ill over Christmas and my skin looked tired so my beautician said to give Microdermabrasion a go, it made my skin look amazing for about 1 week then it all broke out (I’ve never had spots so this really got me annoyed!) and the last few months I have been bothered with dry skin in areas and spots as a result! It’s finally just about cleared up but if your skin is ok at the moment then I would exfoliate once a week and use a healing treatment like Bio Oil. You can put this on your face but I’d only put it over the areas you’re not happy with and at night as it’s shiny! Try using it for a few days and see if you’re happy with it. I’d also recommend that you go for a decent aromatherapy facial before you pay out for Microdermabrasion!

yes, microdermabrasion is safe after you turn 18. itr will work nice on your acne scars and first fine lines, but you have to be patient, best results are obvious after the entire treatment, 8 sessions. first results, however, are visible after the first session.
good luck.
